Forssa Engineering to commence its first district heating accumulator deliveries in Sweden

Familiar ground, broader horizons: first district heating accumulator deliveries in Sweden to commence this year

This autumn, Forssa Engineering will begin deliveries for two mid-sized district heating accumulator projects in Sweden, reflecting continued investment in thermal energy storage across the Nordic market.

One clear trend is emerging: the role of the tank contractor is shifting from delivering individual tanks towards supporting complete accumulator solutions. Beyond the tank installation, projects increasingly involve multiple systems and interfaces that are critical for safe and efficient operation.

These orders reflect our ability to meet the rigorous technical and compliance requirements of public procurements while also responding to the commercial expectations of private clients.

During the past year, Forssa Engineering has been involved in ten accumulator tank projects, alongside a wide range of other industrial tank deliveries. This experience has further strengthened our expertise in district heating energy storage and reinforced our understanding of the broader project requirements associated with accumulator installations.

While accumulator tanks remain a proven and well-established technology, the experience gained has enabled us to support clients beyond the tank installation itself, contributing to the successful delivery of the overall solution.
