Introducing our site manager Mikko 🔧👷
Mikko joined the Forssa Engineering team in October 2024. Years of experience in industrial piping had brought strong expertise, but the desire for new challenges had been lingering for a while. When Forssa Engineering was looking for a site manager, Mikko decided to reach out – and a conversation with CEO Olli confirmed that this could be the right step in his career. ✔️
Mikko is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of installation projects from start to finish. His role is diverse: he acts as a site manager, site supervisor, and foreman – so the success of the entire installation project is in his hands.
A typical workday starts with a chat with employees about the day’s tasks and ensuring that the team has everything they need for smooth operation. The rest of the day is spent in meetings, procuring materials and tools, and supporting employees with any challenges they may face.
– The best part of this job is the independence and being responsible for the whole process – it’s great to see how things progress and succeed. The support and trust from the company’s management also give confidence in my work, Mikko explains. 💪
Mikko, who trained as a mechanic, has gained his expertise through hands-on experience. 15 years of experience in supervisory roles, including four years as a site manager, have given him confidence and the ability to manage large projects.
At Forssa Engineering, he appreciates that work efforts and successes are acknowledged.
– This job and position have been more than I expected, Mikko sums up.
We’re glad to have you as part of our team, Mikko! 😊
